Christ College of Nursing, Jagdalpur, was founded in 2011 by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), with a view to blend sacred and secular education in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh state. CMI is the first indigenous religious congregation for men in India with a membership of more than 2500. It renders service to humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other fields aiming at integral development. From the early decades of 1970s, CMI members have been dedicated to uplifting the lives of people of Bastar region. CMI has been instrumental in establishing the various educational institutions in the region.

 

In the past seven year, the college has earned the reputation of the best college in the state of Chhattisgarh. Christ College of Nursing is the outcome of the Vision and Mission of the CMI Fathers in Jagdalpur. It is a self-financing religious minority institution for higher education with 250 beds multi specialty parent hospital (MPM Hospital, Jagdalpur) affiliated to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush university of Chhattisgarh, Raipur.

 

Christ College of Nursing will be a role model where the methods of Nursing education remain systematic, taking place in an open and free environment. It will turn out to be a milestone in the history of graduate Nursing education in the tribal area of Bastar and will stand out from every other Nursing college in the days to come.
